i was recently hacked into while using the mcafee firewall, i had numerous pings and attempts from unknown ip addresses to connect to many of my TCP and UDP ports, plus attempts to access my netbios and DCE ports. Later i was told Mcafee Firewall that i had at least 6 trogans and lots of malicious scripting going on within my system, many of my system files have been changed or modified. I have found many log files of the people who did this, the logs are in code and very little is readable, but some is. I cannot do system restore, nor can i open mcafee viruscan, it is being held shut by some program. I am in a dire situation. My computer is no longer stable. And i need to know what to do. I have logs of all ip addresses that attempted to access closed ports, what to do????????????????

Sorry to hear of your woes :(

Suggest you run a Trojan scanner - I use A 2 - and read this thread

    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25239

I have no idea if your situation is recoverable, but I suggest you back up all your data to removable media in preparation for a reformat and reinstall.

In situations like this the benefits of partitioning a drive are clear - OS on first partition, data on others.

Before doing anything drastic hold on for further responses.

    Good luck.
