Recently Bought a New PC, windows xp SP2, NO SOUND CARD DETECTED

    Well the above says for itself, ive looked at other forums but no dice. Ive tried updating the drivers but it wont find anything. Built in sound card....

    Motherboard - ASrock 4core n73 with built in 5.1 sound
    Processor - Pentium Dual Core E5300 @ 2.5Ghz Per Core
    Memory - 4096 Mb (4 Gb) DDR2 Ram
    Hard Drive - 500 Gb Serial ATA 2.0 - 16 Mb Cache
    Drive - Lightscribe 20X DVD+/-RW Dual Layer & Dual Format 20x Super-WriteMasterâ„¢ DVD Writer
    Graphics -GeForce nVidia 7100TC 512MB
    Other - Max 6 x USB2.0 Ports, 2 x PS/2 Ports, LAN Port 10/100, 5.1 HD Audio

    Please Help

    Start -> Run type in devmgmt.msc and Press OK.
    Under Sound, video and game Controllers do you see any errors - It would be a ! in a Yellow Triangle or and Red - This means there could be a conflict.

    Also - Have you checked the BIOS on the PC to see if the on board sound card has been enabled ?
