I currently receive my att email in Thunderbird. I would also like to use it for my gmail. I see instructions for setting up gmail but I am wondering about the Inbox and Sent Mail. Is there just 1 inbox for both accounts or will a separate one be set up for the gmail?

There is only One Indox/Sent folder.....If T-Bird has a message rule function like OE, then you can get mail from one or both account moved to other folders.

One must take care that the account(s) are set up by unchecking the Global setting. If the check mark is on, all mail from all accounts will go in the Local Folders Inbox, Sent, etc.
I get mail from nine accounts and five servers, and I would go crazy to sort out Global settings.

I have 9 accounts in TB and have a rule for each account that auto moves received messages for each account into the desired folders as they arrive.
