I am new to XP and i have no clue how to change the drive letters for my DVD and CD ROM Drives. I want to do this b/c my 3 hard drive partions are C:, D:, and G:. I would like to get them in alphabetical order if at all possible.

You do that in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer managment> Disk Managment. You'll see all drives listed there including the cd-rom and burner. You may have to scroll down on the bottom section to see all of them. Then you can right click and reassing as you see fit. You'll obviously have to reassign the cd-rom first so you'll have that letter free for your hard drive.

    Good luck. :)

Just a hint. If you have more than one optical drive, and have trouble keeping them sorted by drive letter, give them a letter that makes sense.
My CD is R for Reader.
My CDRW is W for Writer.
My DVD is V for dVd.
That way, when I pop in a CD, I know what drive I put it in, and what drive to expect Explorer to find it for browsing etc.
This helps especially on systems with many dirves/partitions like mine (C through N).
