I am having similar problems with my Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express and it started when I had to reinstall Word 97. Now when I am in IE and click on email addresses or click on File and Send.... by email - I get the CHOOSE FILE - PROFILE NAME - and the box shows Microsoft Outlook as the ONLY profile. Before I reinstalled Word 97 I had no problems.

I did what you suggested in the Posted by mikenowo on 20th January 2003 18:28: - it worked in that I now have in Internet Options Outlook Express listed in the mail box. But still get as mentioned above.

Do you have any solutions? Be greatful!!!!

When you open OE, tools, accounts, mail. Is your OE mail account listed as default? If not, select it.

Checking as you suggested, under mail it lists my provider email account - mail.home.nl and then under type - mail (default), and under connection Any Available. As an added remark under options, general tab the box is ticked to say This application is the default mail handler.
