Re-installing SP2

    I did have SP2 installed on XP home and had to format and reinstall XP. When I try to install SP2 from the CD, it gets to what seems to be about 1/2 thru and crashes.

    Do you get any error message? try by copying the cd to a folder in hard disk & running from there.

    Hi tenbob,

    More detail, blue screen - dump - what?

    At the top the XP section is a link that Petec posted for MS's SP2 support center, look at "installing SP2" for anything that might be of help.
