I do not know. Rename it and see if you have no problems for a
week or so. If all is well, delete the folder.

    Re: C:/unzipped

Does anyone else have this file? C:/unzipped.
Before i rename or delete it, i just wondered if it is a Windows file and there for a reason? or just leftover files that were once zipped and now are left unzipped!?
To be honest, i never really understood zipped and unzipped.
I used to have WinZip too and do not anymore. I think it was a trial one and ran out!?
Thanks again for any input. I was just doing some 'fall' cleaning on my computer. :)

I have a vague feeling that some versions of WinZip created that directory as a default unzipping location. could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time :)

peteC--Suspect you are correct. The folder is actually C:\unzipped. (Note the slash.) And in my case it contains an installation (.exe) file from an ancient program, which since I did install it many moons ago, I can delete. (And should have a long time ago.)

When you download something from the internet and it is in a zipped format (.zip), when you extract it, by default it will extract the files in this folder (C:\Unzipped). Eventually, all the files you have in that folder shouldn't be Windows critical files, but you should check the files in that folder, so that you make sure that they are not important files for other software which you may have installed.
