    Hi Sports

if it's unRAR'd ok (which sounds to be the case from your post), then the "viewability" (or otherwise) of the clip will depend upon:
    - the filetype of the file which you produced when you unRAR'd the original file
    - the codec used when the clip was originally made

the fact that it started off compressed into a RAR file doesn't really come into it, as long as the RAR file decompressed without error; what you want to concentrate on are the files which were produced after you used WINRAR.

unfortunately movie clip types of files use many types of codec - just knowing that (for example) it's an AVI file doesn't mean that you can necessarily play it OK. I can play some AVI files with no problem, but other AVI files won't work if I don't have a suitable codec for them.

If as I suspect it's a codec issue, this thread (post #5) might help, particularly if you are running XP.

Basically, it boils down to identifying which codec you need, then working out where to get it from. Some codecs are not free :(

There may be easier ways! If so I'm sure someone will jump in.

Pls let us know the filetype(s) of the video clip file(s) which you extracted from the original RAR file - thx

    best wishes, HJ.

    Hi

I'm hoping that "all set tks" means that you have solved the problem, rather than that your video clips are *.set files  (having never heard of that type of video clip)

...post back if you are still having hassles

    best wishes, HJ
