    Hi all,

Have a frustrating problem. I am running a Sagem Router (from Sky - not sure of the model). The wireless range is not great so I purchased a Sitecomm WL-330 Range Extender. At first it installed and connected straight away with no problems. I had to disable the wireless capability on the laptop and connect to the extender via Ethernet. All OK until the Sagem hung and I needed to reboot it. Since then I cannot get the Range Extender to reconnect to the Sagem as it won't assign a new IP address. I didn't need to touch the IP settings first time round and everything is set to assign IP addresses automatically. Any clues?

Check the doc for the extender, and find out how to reset it to factory defaults. Do that, and let it find the router and re-assign an IP address. Why does the laptop need to be connected via ethernet cable? Seems to be defeating the purpose of the extender.
I would think you might need a wired connection for setup purposes, but not for general use. Something seems amiss.
