My computer will do one of three things randomly. Reboot, blue screen or freeze. I installed a new PCU about three years ago so doubt that is it. I have ran Norton System Works, Spy Sweeper, Reg Cure and Adobe reader but still have the problem. I am leaning towards a recovery but as a last resort. Any suggestions?

Set up the computer so that it does not automatically restart on system failure .....

Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings ....

Under System failure uncheck 'Automatically restart' and under Write debugging information select 'Kernel memory dump' from the dropdown list and OK out.

The computer will now show the BSOD in the event of a System failure giving details of the Stop message and the contents of the memory will be dumped to disk.

Run the dump data through our Dump Data Collection Tool and post the log here (copy/paste).

Unfortunately these logs require expert knowledge to analyze and there are only a few members (who occasionally visit WindowsBBS.com) that have the depth of knowledge necessary. Other members can make observations and suggestions as to how you might proceed toward finding the cause ....
CPU as in Central Processing Unit - the Intel/AMD processor or PSU as in Power Supply Unit?

There should be a lot more to the debug log than you have posted. Run your dump file through the debug wizard again or wait for another dump and debug that.

I have tried 8 times to get back on and each time it either froze, blue screened or did a reboot. I am now in safe mode so it should crash if it is my PSU. To Pete C, you are right, it should have been PSU. Some times I don't type what I am thinking. Any how I am running the PC through all the paces to see if it will crash. If not I can only assume it is a virus, trojan or some malicious bug of some kind. That will mean a recovery. I have ran all my programs that I have to try and fix the problem but no luck. Thanks again to those who responded.

If the computer is crashfree in SAfe Mode the most likely cause is a driver - in Safe Mode only the basic Windows drivers are loaded.

See if you can debug a memory dump from a crash in Normal mode in Safe mode - that should give a clue as to what is causing the problem.

Thanks for the comeback pete C. I will try what you suggest. I haven't had much luck with retrieving a memory dump but I will give it another shot and see what I get.
    Adios for now.
