Have you tried a Win 7 driver to see if it would work? Seen stuff like that work many times before on different things.

Ralink was bought out several years ago by a competitor before Windows 8 was released and their product line discontinued. So no drivers specifically for W8 were developed, nor will there be.

My advice is to replace the card. If you are within close proximity of the WAP (wireless access point), you may be able to use a very inexpensive USB dongle adapter. Or for better performance at greater distances, a card with external antennas. I personally recommend a card like this.

There are many adapters to choose from as seen here. Just make sure you get one that supports 11n and those that support up 300Mbps will offer better performance.

Note with these that have W8 drivers, you can be sure they will also be supported by Windows 10 and carry you further into the future.
