Anyone notice if you rt-clk My Computer, then Properties, and then select Advanced System Settings or System Protection, you get the same System Properties (5 tabs) dialog boxes? I wonder which one you should use.

Either, but note that the default open tab is different in each case.

Pete....default open tab? I don't know what you're referring to, I have 5 tabs but none with that name.

I first noticed this when trying to adjust disk space for system restore....I have two choices of where to put the setting (eg, 10%)...do I need to put the same number in both places so they don't conflict?

    Let me rephrase .....

The tabbed window you see is the same regardless of whether you click Advanced System Settings or System Protection. The only difference is which tab is open by default.

OK, thanks....I understand...the window is the same, but (as I earlier commented) you could put different numbers in each one. (ie, it's not two entrance points to the same window, it's two entrance points to two windows, both windows looking identical)
