    Howdy Folks;

    Please forgive me, I'm an old fart, electronically challenged (can't even get my MP3 player to work) and computers just hate me.

    I have QuickProtect on my computer and last night (for some dumb@$$ reason) I got this window in the lower right hand corner of my screen that says,

    "QuickProtect
    (08/04/2012 17:09): Unable to connect to copy target device. E:\RENEW-D8EEADF84 "

    How do I get rid of this blasted window? There isn't even an E: drive plugged in now-that was the MP3 player I was trying to download music to. Now when I click on the X it goes away for about one minute, and then it comes back. It's driving me crazy and right about now that's a pretty darn short drive!

    Any ideas are appreciated!

    Welcome to BBS:)
    I'm not familiar with W8, but when you connected your MP3 has it continued to be shown when you Right click My Computer > Open?
    It must have activated a Driver for the MP3 and it should de-activate when you Safely Remove???
    The only thing I can think of that would probably cause your message, is if you did not do the Safe Removal.
    Someone more knowledgeable on W8 will look in to help. Cheers Neil.

    Thanks but I figured out a way to get rid of it. I removed the program, restarted, and then added it back. The window disappeared.
