This may sound like a stupid question, but i was wondering, in which order would one fdsik and format. I assume that one might be able to do it either way, however, fdisk'ing first would make more sense considering one needs to format after fdisk'ing. The reason i ask is because i read a line a good computer orientated site that said, "Once the format process is completed successfully at the DOS prompt type fdisk /mbr and press enter. This should return you back to the MS-DOS prompt with no message. This step is not required but recommended." I'm not sure exactly what this means, and i'm hoping you might be able to help me out. I;m just covering all my bases before i format.

    Thanks

Fdisk comes first. It is used for creating and deleting partitions that you then format. Fdisk /mbr is for restoring the master boot record only, and can be done at any time, if needed, even after installing the OS.
