The show Quick Launch" setting unchecks itself each time on system startup. When I select it and save it reappears, but then next time I reboot, no quick launch show and start menu taskbar "show quick launch" is again unchecked. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated thanks

    Hello duncan,

try this: before selecting the QL, unlock the Tool Bar by clicking on that line. And don't lock the Tool Bar, no need.

    Regards - Charles

If charlesvar's suggestion doesn't work, try the fix on Kelly's Korner, line 30.

Click on "Windows XP Doesn't Save User Settings" to download a small .reg file and run it according to the directions at the top of the Kelly's Korner page.
