I cannot set the above toolbar to view. I've tried enabling by right-clicking the task bar > Toolbars > Quick Launch and right-clicking the task bar > Properties and checking the box but neither way enables it. It is something to do with my profile as it works in my wife's account.

I've tried System restore and it's back but if I deselect it I cannot reselect without doing another restore.

In addition when it's visible the "Add to Quick Launch" item of the right-click context menu does not work.

I've tried Google and although many people seem to have the same problem I could not find a solution that worked for me.

    Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I had tried the suggestions in the the article with no joy. I've created another account and the Quick Launch is working so I think the registry of the other account is corrupted. So I'll use the knew one.

    Thanks again
