I’ve got some real quick Active Directory questions running on Server 2003.

    1. How do I view the user’s screen?
    2. How do I set up the permissions so that the users can only save to the server?
    3. How come after I did changed the user password requirements (http://www.petri.co.il/disable_password_requirement_in_win2003_domain.htm ), they don’t take effecet? And, yes I did the gpupdate /force in the command prompt.

They may be quick questions, but they are definitely not quick answers. I'd strongly recommend that you consider a Microsoft Administration course if you want to manage a network to the level required to give you the control you want.

Permission settings are often assigned as a token at startup (especially those seen as compter permissions rather that user permissions - where the token is passed at logon). Therefore, changing permissions at the Active Directory level often don't take effect on Client PC until after the next reboot. Try rebooting the PC or wait for the affect to take place.

    Amen bro.
I have noticed that trend. By MS trying to make windows server simpler more people are attempting to dive in with no training.
    Kind of scarry.
Shadow not comming down on you just saw the oppertunity to make that statement.
A lot of us have spent 10s of thousands of dollars on MS training and I feel like it's negated.

Sometimes it can take up to 3 reboots, or log offs for a setting to take affect.
