Easy and most likely stupid question. Can i have one server and location A hand down different sets of IP schema to 2 other locatons so lets say.

Branch A= 10.1.1.x (dhcp server resides here)
    Branch B=10.1.2.x
    Branch C= 10.1.3.x

will the server hand down ip's to those branches with the proper schema?

It depends how the branches are connecting to each other and whether the routers can forward BOOTP. This is a web page I found describing forwarding DHCP BOOTP packets between networks.

So if you have direct connection between sites, Cisco routers and time to fiddle, probably yes. Cheap and cheerful broadband routers with VPN between site, probably no. With a large grey range between.

Personally, I'd put a DHCP server on each site. Even if all it was, was the internet router.

Yeah I would also setup a DHCP server at each site rather than just relying on the one...You can still setup one at your main office with all the scopes in case an offsite server goes down..

    Dhcp

I know using a DHCP server at each location would be ideal but most of our IP's are static, we only need this for one vendor so it would be a waste of money.
