What's a "fastboard?" Do you by any chance me Front Side Bus?

I sure hope he means front side bus - never heard the term fastboard before. And, as to the question even if it is fsb, not nearly enough information to answer this accurately. Suggest checking with the MoBo mfg for your answer. Even knowing the chipset which in all probability is a VIA, isn't going to answer this for you - some 266's (actually 133 x2) will handle T-Birds but won't handle Palomino's or Thoroughbreds, others will handle one but not the other and some will handle both. If you have a MOBO that will handle a 2400+ or 2600+ Thoroughbred, you may have a shot with a Barton, but its doubtful.

Then again, I am running a 1900+ AGOGA core Palamino on an Abit Board that Abit says can't be done.

    ;)

Based on the link you just supplied, your original post is inaccurate re: max fsb of 266. All you need to do is read the specs on the page you supplied.

Under CPU it says: 462 pin Socket A supports AMD K7 processors, full series of Athlon XP/ Athlon/ Duron processors

Under memory it says: 2 DDR DIMM Sockets support two 184-pin 2.5V DDR SDRAM (DDR200/266/333/400)

Translation -----> Yes, you can run a 2500+ Barton with a 333mhz bus

    ;)
