Can some one explain what the cfservice.exe file is and why it needs to be runing in the processes tab of the task manager. I was having some problems with xp runing kind of slow and started looking around and found that this file is using about 80 to 90% of the cpu time.

I was just wondering what it is and if I really need it runing all the time.

Seems to be connected with GFI LANguard S.I.M. Does that mean anything to you? Any GFI software loaded?

Yes there is, but for the life of me I cannot remember what GFI software could be running or what the GFI software is for. It is kind of frustrating when you can't remember things.
