Resolved Protection mode and suggested sites settings don't work

    I cannot get protection mode to turn on after changing the setting to on.
    I also can't get ride of suggested sights being displayed in I.E.

    Sorry I'm new to Win 7 and have a lot to learn!

    Internet Explorer Protected Mode - Turn On or Off - Windows 7 Forums
    Disable and Remove Suggested Sites From Internet Explorer 8 - How-To Geek
    You can also remove the Favorites bar>right click on Toolbar>click on Favorites bar to remove the check mark.

    Thank you for the links. They were most informative. I also had the AUC turned off so I turned it back on. Now I have no suggested sites either. Thanks.
