    Hello,

Many uses their bank credit cards for online purchasing; is there a way (software) that protecst that kind of information from being retrieved, etc.?

    Please advise.

    Thank you

No need for such software. When you purchase something online, just be sure the site is a secured site, meaning the address is a https:// address.

And make sure the site has a valid security certificate. You'll usually see a clickable security icon at bottom of browser window.

The info you type in purchase forms is not saved on your computer IF you configure your browser to NOT auto complete typing in forms and to NOT save login passwords. The info you enter is saved on the Web servers.

Purchasing goods online is far safer than purchasing a meal in a restaurant or goods at a store.

We can't forget about hackers being able to break into those secure servers...
One more advice...always use same card with the lowest possible credit limit.
