What are the proper steps to changing a Domain accounts last name; in this case the user just got married. Can you just change every instance of the last name in the users AD property window? Is there anything that must be done locally to outlook?

    thx in advance.

Personally, I try to persuade users to keep their user name which most have no problem with. Changing the surname in Active directory is a must.

As for e-mail addresses, I'd be tempted to add any new e-mail address as an alias - or if you change the address, make sure you add the old address as an alias, so the person still receives e-mails to the old address.

I think you will have to change one setting in Outlook depending on version. The name label applied to e-mails so that a person's name appears in place of their e-mail address, is defined within outlook. The setting is in the e-mail account setting in Outlook 2003.
