Recently I have had 2 programs that will not install correctly in that they appear to install okay but when starting vista one of the programs intermittently reinstalls itself and another one appears to install then when I run it asks for the CD and will not install.

I think this may be that my Vista Windows Installer is corrupt but I cannot find the correct one for vista the only one (I could find) was the Windows Installer 3.1 but it states it is for every operating system except vista.

I have heard that vista's version is 4, if this is so does anybody now where this can be downloaded so I can investigate my problem further.

For starters, what are the names of the two programs and have you peeked on their web sites?

The 2 programs in Question are:
    Ulead/Photoimpact X3
    Roxio Copy & Convert

And yes, I have been on there forums/help pages with no real positive answers, that is why I have gone the route "Must be my computer and not the software "

When you attempt to install the software are you using an Admin level user profile AND using the same profile when you try to run the software?
