programs not installing, HELP!

Hi guys.
I just installed windows xp home the other day, and now, i'm having problems installing some things, PARTICULARLY p2p software, like limewire, kazaa, morpheus, etc.. i get run time errors and when i load limewire, it prompts me to install java 2m or smoething like that, which also does not install properly.

The other thing is that I tried to install the via 4in1 drivers. I put the installer in c:\drivers. so i click on c "\drivers\setup.exe, and windows gives me an error saying no file was found there, even though i'm looking right at it and just double clicked it, and it is a full file. I'm totally confused. If you guys could give me some help I would appreciate it. Thanks

 

Hey, I have xp pro and I haven't heard of limewire but have downloaded winmx and morpheus, they work fine. I just went and downloaded kazaa 1.5 and it worked fine as well. When you upgraded from ? did it tell you there would be some conflicts?
If you go to altavista search and type in runtime errors it has some links that may help, I didn't check them all out but it looked promising.

 

Has your user account " Instal software and hardware " privlages?

If not sure log on as admin to check if this is the prob.
