Do you have .NET Framework v2.0 on your system?

    I found a system.dll here:

    C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727

It is 2.93MB created on 10-24-07

I also found mmsystem.dll too in a number of folders.

I found both of those as well but this is in my Temp folder, I clean it regularly and have never seen it before.

I always like to right click on suspect files and look at their properties...especially the Version tab. Many legitimate files, especially .dll files, will have legitimate a company name and other information in there.

Some executable files that are also legitimate may have nothing in the Version tab or no version tab at all but I tend to see this on files that are related to viruses or trojans.

In my experience, if you restart your PC and any software is done installing, you can usually delete everything in any of the temp directories. Though it sounds like it keeps showing up which would lead me to believe it is part of spyware or something similar.

I have the file in these two locations.
    G:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322
    G:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727

I would hold the location of it in the temp folder as suspect.
I would suggest using Killbox to delete it on next reboot.

Then visit Housecall, online AV scan, and follow up with a HijackThis log in the Removing forum here.
