    Hello,
I dowloaded a freebie to install, rational rose and had no problems, but then lent the program to my friend (i think it is allowed as it requires registration anyway) and he couldn't get it working recieving an error message of wrong OS system or out of date service packs. Tried all the SP2 updates, and unistalling them but nothing. The program seems to work only on the professional edition of xp and not on the home edition. Any ideas on a solution to the problem? All help is appreciated but it would be pointless to reply after 4th dec (project deadlines). Thanks in advance.

Thank you for replying though the fix is no loner needed because we seem to be on top of things project wise. Cheers though. The thread is now pointless, by deleting the first post, will i delete the thread?

Just leave it. There could well be someone at a later date needing similar information and when they found this thread they would see the link in post #2 and it might solve things for them.

I'll lock it though so you won't be bothered with further replies that you don't need.

Thanks for posting back that you have the problem in hand.
