program stuck running on disconnected external monitor

G'day everyone.

Had my laptop connected to the TV and was using VLC player on the TV to watch some stuff... Anyway, disconnected the monitor and shut it down but whenever I open up VLC player, it's still running on the external monitor, even though it's not connected and windows knows that it's not connected...

I can hear it but can't move it back to the main monitor...

I have no idea how to get it back... I am now on the road, so can't connect up to an external monitor, just to drag it back...

 

Not familiar with this porgram.
Try starting in safe mode to see if you can adjust settings . ( f5 or f8 key on windows bootup. Select safe mode)
Video output or program.
I am not familiar with this program am not exactly sure of your situation or the exact settings to change.
