On my Windows XP Pro machine:

    1. We log on to an internet page.
    2. We Select a subject.
    3. On the message to receive - we click as instructed.

And the system goes bye bye.

A Ctrl - Alt - Delete says progranm is not responding.

So we have to end task.

    It does it constantly.

    *************************************************

But my Windows Machione ME works fine.

    *************************************************

So, what is wrong with XP ?

    Thanks

    Don't know.

    I get on line.

There is a little bar at the bottom of the screen(same line where Start is) that shows the progress of a page loading as little green squares.

    The initial page completes.

But when we select another item and click on it the little green squares start.

    But they never finish.

    That is my problem.

I can't get beyond the first page within an internet site.

So. we get tired of waiting and press Cntrl - Alt - Del and see the message
    "Not responding"

And we have to select "end task ".

    That's all I know.

Have you ever tried clicking "refresh" instead of going straight to C-A-D? What happens then?

    Found the offending program.

Some sites required "real player ".

    So we installed it.

And then the sound began - but would hang thereafter.

Removed real player and all is back to normal.

    Thanks
