if my pc's fine, its fine, otherwise it's full of them.
someprogramname .exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created.
anyone has any idea what causes this and how to fix it? i got same problem with a few programs including windows search/find function.
1 more thing, how do i go about finding the error logs?

I'd try dumping all your temp files, temporary internet files, and removing all the spyware on your PC using first Ad-Aware and then Spybot (download the latest versions of both and then update before using them). This should probably fix the problem or at least greatly reduce it.

Also a good idea to do
start~run~cmd and then in the DOS window
chkdsk /r and say Yes to doing the repair at next boot then reboot.

The error should be shown in your event logs.

Event Viewer can be found in Administrative Tools in Control Panel, or by RIGHT clicking on My Computer and choosing "Manage ".
There are three separate logs, Application, Security and System. Application and System usually have the interesting things in them, you are looking for red "!" in the first instance.

    start~run~cmd
chkdsk /r and answer Yes when it gives you the message it can't be done now ....., then reboot.
