when i attempted to log in, i was denied, "profile not available" (or similar words).
i cannot use a restore point as it says there isn't one, and i can not follow the directions of the help window as it doesn't do what the window says it should, AND every time i have do to something it asks for the admin password.
shy of wiping EVERYTHING out by reloading windows.... other ideas?
the system ran fine on Sunday.

Hi chaosrn. What is the exact error message that you get when you attempt to login? Can you login to your user account in Safe Mode? Do you have any other user profiles present on the computer?

it says: "The User Profile Service failed the logon.
User profile cannot be loaded. "
    Then it logs me off.
    :(
There is another profile, but it is a standard profile and EVERYTHING i try asks for the password of the profile (that cannot be loaded) and any control panel acts appear to do nothing after i put in the password. It must have some action because it recognizes a wrong password.

when i try to run the OEM Dell service for repair or diagnostic, it tells me to check if i have typed the proper location, (which if it weren't so frustrating, it would be funny, because the locations/files it can't find are visible to me, and even tried left click, run as admin (password and all), and stilll 'can't find' the file!

Do you have a Widows 7 DVD or a System Repair Disk that you can use to boot the computer from?

If you don't have a Windows 7 DVD then you can create a System Repair Disk to repair the system. Take a look here, How to Create a Windows 7 System Repair Disk.
    .

Once you have the System Repair Disk prepared then let me know.
