Before I start explaining the problem, THIS is what I did wrong.

I was shutting down my computer and, for some very, very stupid reason, 5 seconds after I hit the shut-down botton I held down the power botton, therefore forcing the computer to power off.

    Now to the Problem.

This (I am pretty sure) caused something to go wrong with the log-in process. After I force shut-down my computer then started it up again. I logged in to my profile, Bryn Palmer. This took a pretty long time (about a minute) compared to the norm, and after I logged in, the desktop, and everything else, was the default configuation (like when you make a new profile). After thinking "You stupid idiot" I attepted find out what happened. I found out that my computer had created "TEMP" folder in my Documents and Settings folder and it booting the profile from that, and every time I start my computer it deletes the "TEMP" folder. I need to know how to fix whatever has been corrupted in the normal Documents and Settings folder I use because having nothing on the desktop and not being able to use some games and programs is getting frustrating.

    Help.

    Please?

Thank You for the reply, I will try one of those methods tomorrow, or should I say today, after school, because right now it's 12:30AM and I need sleep.
