Vista Laptop when booting in normal mode the desktop is blank as well as the start menu.
In safe mode everything is there.
    Any Ideas?

I'm Posting this for a friend.

    Thanks

That's weird. I'd be looking at drivers/ 3rd party 'stuff' that gets loaded.

So in Safe Mode, check msconfig to uncheck things from starting up, then try restarting in normal mode.
