The other day i was swapping some plugs around and by mistake pulled out the plug for my PC.
Now when i turn the PC on i am greeted by the message "your PC didn't shut down properly, start in safe mode, last known good config that worked, start windows normally" etc
Heres my problem.....when i choose "start Windows normally" or "last known good config that worked" it gets stuck on the windows logo/loading bar and wont do any further. Choosing the "start Windows in safe mode" option gives me a BSOD. I've tried to repair using the XP cd but i get a message saying "there is no hard drive installed on your pc etc..." The H/D isn't dead because i've hooked it up to my other PC and have saved all my work onto a different H/D, it just wont boot up windows .
The H/D with the boot problem is a WD Raptor and the PC i had it in has and AMD 6400 CPU, ASUS Mobo, Geforce 6600GT and 2 GB Corsair RAM.

No all the safe mode options lead to a BSOD.

You should run chkdsk /r from the command line of the Recovery Console.
