    Hi,
I hope someone can give me a hand with this... My comp "died" a few days ago. I could do anything cos i couldn't start it, it always stopped saying that the system was recovering from an error. I couldn't even boot from a diskette...
The only thing i could do was trying to repair the system with the xp cd. The problem is that it always stops the process while installing the drivers, and always at the same one. The blue screen appears with a message containing this:

    STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xFA579953, 0xFB2DB774, 0xFB2db470)
    s3gnbm.sys - address FA579953 base at FA567000, Datestamp 3ED1ACDC

and it also appears a message together with this one above, where it says that it's been a problem, and windows has been closed to avoid damage the system. It talks about trying to update the controller, cheking the BIOS, and a few things more.

I've been looking for info on the internet, and i found out this .sys is the controller of my s3 prosavage.

But I don't know how to solve the problem. I cannot repair the system, neither reinstall it, cos the process always breaks down at the same point.

Please, does anybody have any suggestion?? I need help!! Any idea will be wellcome.

txs u all!!  :(
