Problems with recent updates

Comparing three machines, one with Win 10 as an OEM installation and the other two as Win 7 upgrades, I have noticed that that the two upgraded machines have been struggling with the recent batch(es) of upgrades.

Typically, the ability to access the "Settings" page is lost and it is necessary to run a repair before any upgrade can completely upload and install, and, perhaps worse, is the inordinate amount of time that the updates on those two machines now take.

Not sure which upgrade is likely to be a cause of issues, just pick any one, (or more), from the following list:

319371, 319434, 319479, 319795, 319998, 320097, 320279, 3202970


On the OEM installation, the process is fast, minutes rather than hours. Is it perhaps because of some odd anomaly on upgraded machines. The basic software on all three machines is very similar.
