Hi, I am having problems with my Windows Media Player and Real One Player. The problem is this, i installed a codec pack off the internet to play a video clip which windows media player or any other media player would not play, it just came up with a error (different depending on which media player)but when i installed this pack it did work and it played most video files but it stopped others working, so i tried to uninstall the codec pack with no such luck it kept on saying "The uninstall file is corrupt" and would then go off when OK is pressed. I have tried re-installing the Windows Media Player and it just crashes when it tries to re-install like there has been something installed to stop it from re-installing and also stops the media player from downloading any codecs as well such as the windows media video 1 codec. Any way i try to re-install it (EVEN IN SAFE MODE!) it does the same thing and crashes before completing the installation effectivly makeing the installation terminate. Now this problem has even started to effect Real One player and stops that from loading entirely, it will not load RealOne player at ALL!

Can anyone help me with this problem.

I believe it is called ACE Mega CoDecS Pack and I installed it with no problems. Later I managed to mess up something and I was able to fix my problem by installing wmpcdcs.exe which is the Windows Media Player codecs.

Hope that fixes the the problem..
