    Hi everyone.

I'm trying to fix a mate's computer for him. It's a HP Pavillion P3, running win98. I downloaded the Windows updates for him (he hadn't updated it for ages, as he's not computer savvy), and ever since the computer is crashing all the time. Internet explorer is also crashing, the details are:

    AppName:iexplore.exe
    AppVer 6.0.2800.1106
    ModName: mshtml.dll
    ModVer: 6.0.2800.1106
    Offset: 000b182f

The system is also running dreadfully slow, for the little time it does work.

I've scanned for viruses, spyware and malware, with no result.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Justin

Here are a few links that may provide you with some insight with regards to your mshtml.dll error:

Once that's fixed, please post back and we can go from there. If you're still having difficulties there are other possible solutions so let us know how you make out.
