I just did a non-destructive system recovery on my computer, and I'm having this issue with IE that I didn't have before:

For some reason, in IE6, images seem to look compressed, but when I save them/copy them and open them in another program like Paint Shop Pro, they look as they would normally (clearer). Also, the colors are a little off. For example, on my own sites, I set the scrollbar to certain colors using CSS, but when I look at it on IE the color looks lighter and it offsets the design. I know this has to be a new issue, because prior to the system recovery it looked fine, and the colors showed up just as I set them. But now, looking at the same sites, the colors look off and the images not as clear. And this is on my own web sites, and I'm sure I didn't change anything in the coding, so it has to be something in IE.

I've already tried updating to IE6 SP1, clearing my cache, and restarting, but no luck. Is there something in Internet Options that I missed that could fix this? Any ideas?

I'm running on XP, if that's any help.

    Thanks, Michelle

If you scroll your mouse over the image, to the lower right hand corner. Does a weird looking icon appear? Click it, it will enlarge the image. I don't remember when this started for me. Running IE6 on Win 98 here.

Hmm... nope, I think I have that disabled, the auto image resizing thing. Even the smaller images on pages look compressed though, and the colors are off too.
