Problems uninstalling WMP9

    I have a friend that has a Windows ME and has a problem trying to remove the WMP 9(Windows Media Player version 9) program we've tried to go to the Start Menu and went to setting and the control panel and the Add/Remove programs bit and still hasnt gotten rid of it. And we've looked over the computer and there isnt any removal application for it and this program has been causing a system slow down .
