I posted replys in a previous Java uninstall question, but, no answers yet! When I try to uninstall Java I get message that I need to go to a cd-rom or external source to get uninstaller. When I try to reinstall Java I get same message. Jave is showing in programs and features in control panel and the Java Icon is also in the control panel. But, apparently it cannot find the uninstaller???

How do I uninstall Java on my Windows System?

Marv6, you don't tell us what OS you are using or what your 'System Details' are. It would help us to help you if you took the time to visit your UserCP and follow the instructions.

Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of the page and 'SAVE' before closing out. Neil.

Thanks for info. The site you supplied applies to Microsoft office, not Java?

Neil, I am using Windows Vista Home Premium, and Java is the only program I am having problems with. The uninstaller appears to be missing for Java. When I try to uninstall Java I get message to insert a cd-rom. When I try to reinstall over it, it tells me that the program is there, but, when I test for the version it tells me that Java is not there??? It will not let me uninstall so that I can reinstall.

Would it be safe for me to use javaRA 2.1? I also looked at Microsoft fix it, but, it is for 64 bit systems.

Windows Installer Cleanup Utility is not only for MS Office. I used that program to get rid of my Java.

lj50, windows uninstaller says it is for 64 bits, mine is 32 bits?
Pete C, I will try JavaRA, however I've seen other posts that say it did not work. As far as Revo Uninstaller, it does not show java in the list of programs, including when I search for it.

I'm using it on 32bit and 64bit. But I'm glad you got it fixed.
