I have a template that I want to edit. When I try to save it back to the same name it won't let me. I have to save to a new name and then go into Windows Explorer, delete the old file and rename the new file. Is there a way to edit a template and save with the same name?

to edit a word template don't open it by double clicking on it, because in that way when you try to save, you will get the save dialog box to save it as a new document.

To edit the template, open word (you should have a new empty word document), then goto File -> Open and open the template from there. This time any changes you make will be saved on the template rather than prompts you to save it to a new document.

    Hope this helps you out!

    Regards
