I recently got a virus on my computer and it got so bad that I decided to completely reinstall Windows XP on my computer and start fresh. I put in the XP Install CD, rebooted, and went into setup mode. It gives me a list of partitions to choose to install windows on, so I chose the C drive (it being the only one large enough, and what XP was installed on before) but it says that I chose a partition that contains another operating system, and talks about installing multiple operating systems on a single computer, but this is not what I want to do. All I wish to do is create a new version of XP to replace the old one, not create a new one in addition to the old one. My only other option seems to be to delete the C partition and setup XP on the unpartitioned space, but I doubt thats what I should do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
