    I am having problems opening the following type of links in my computer.
    http://click.e.lowes.com or anything that starts with click.e
    I have tried opening through IE and Safari and still wont open. I usually use firefox 23.0.1
    Tried on three different computers and would not open. Called my wife at work and she was able to open and print off. She was using IE. What could be causing this? Firewall Security settings? Any Ideas or Help would be appreciated.

    Can't say that I've seen the click.e before..

    Why is it there and what happens if you simply go to www.lowes.com ?

    (I can't open the link you posted either)

    http://click.e.lowes.com is not a valid URL.

    http://click.e.anything is an invalid URL unless the click.e is written by software on your computer, such as a search toolbar or browser hijacker, and the link interacts with the software prior to opening said Web page.

    Please post a real URL as the one you sent to the wife.

    It is a link out of an email. I see it on southwest and this one at lowes. I have no problem going to www.lowes.com The link I click on gives the following error:

    "Server not found.
    Firefox can't find the server at click.e.lowes.com.

    Check the address for typing errors such as
    ww.example.com instead of
    www.example.com
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. "
    Server not found
    It is for a lowes coupon and a link to a site that has it. I didn't post the complete address as coupon is only good once. I cant access but my wife was able to pull up my hotmail.

    I am posting another example of one from harbor freight that wont open on my computer:

    http://click.harborfreightemail.com...585de1d4530ec9fbe2908f8a661e95732736ea5480677

    I get problem loading page error as stated above.

    No, it is a valid URL (of sorts).

    If you go to http://click.e.lowes.com you'll see it is a redirect page:

    Yes, I know it's a "sort of" valid URL. The redirect is using jquery or ajax libraries, or another type of javascript, but the script is missing, it's expected that one has already loaded that script from the domain in the same session.

    Using the URL in a different session will fail because the <form> action attempts to use a variable stored in memory by an earlier script, but the variable _ctl0 doesn't exist.

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC  "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" >
    <HTML>
    	<HEAD>
    	    <META NAME= "ROBOTS" CONTENT= "NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW "><!--CR 3872 San Miguel Tejada 03/28/07-->
    		<title>Redirect Link</title>
    	</HEAD>
    	<body>
    		<form name= "_ctl0" method= "post" action=" " id= "_ctl0 ">
    <input type= "hidden" name= "__VIEWSTATE" id= "__VIEWSTATE" value= "/wEPDwUKLTQ5NDcwMzkzM2Rk6pK+bqBfB2bePgrBnFZnwcpXgt0=" />

    			<table cellpadding= "0" cellspacing= "0" align= "center" style= "WIDTH: 100%; HEIGHT: 100% ">
    				<tr>
    					<td align= "center ">
    						<h3 align= "center ">Click the link below if the page does not load in 5 seconds</h3>
    						<div><a id= "RedirectLink ">Go to your link</a></div>
    					</td>
    				</tr>
    			</table>
    		</form>
    	</body>
    </HTML>
