on most programs that i install it goes directly to my drive e instead of drive c:\
i use to have win xp pro on drive e:\ but had so many errors i got a new HD and installed win xp home on drive c:\ and kept e as my back up drive.
is there a place on xp that i can change it to default to drive c as where my downloads and files get installed to?

just driving me nuts and drive e is almost completly full.

    thanks

    Hello mrtucson,

If you've got a folder on that drive lableled "downloads ", get rid of it. "Downloads" is a default folder created by the OS on install.
You should have a "downloads" folder on the C drive only.

Whenever I want to install or download anything, I'm asked where to. If your not being asked, go into the Browser's options, the advanced tab, and UN-tick the box for "install on demand ", the demander is the web site.

    Regards - Charles
