I am unable to install any programs that use the MSI in WIndows XP Pro SP2.
I have tried to install Paintshop, Dreamweaver, etc and always receive the following:
"The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. please obtain another copy. "

I can install the same programs to other systems without problem. I feel it has to do with the MSI but can find answer on Google or MS. Any input would be appreciated.

Have a look at this MS page. You may wish to refresh or upgrade the MS Installer. Would also advise checking your security, and looking for malware which can damage files. You can check your version by entering msiexec /? in a run window.
