Problems Install XP SP2

    I'm having problems installing xp service pack 2. When I run the executable
    WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe get the following error message: " WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe is not a valid win32 application.

    Most likely the file you downloaded is corrupt. Delete the file and download it again.

    Have downloaded it again from the microsot site, and another site. Same error message.

    Hello Kenny,

    If you have any download accelerator application running - shut it off.

    Do you have access to another system connected to another ISP? Try downloading on that system and burning out a CD.

    Do you know anyone that still has a SP2 CD from when they were distributed from August 2004?

    And last, ordering a SP2 CD form MS: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx
