    problems:from reinstal wins 2000 pro on new HD

    i have just reinstalled wins 2000 pro on new HD,now have to solve alot of problems

    -this was discussed some time ago,
    when saving doc in word,cannot ,says "read only" how do i change that?

    -when saving doc in word, keep getting "script error, do you want to continue "how do i get rid of this screen?
    -also wasted hours trying download wins 2000 pro service pak 3,to have it time out at end!

    If you have set NTFS permissions on your hard drive, then your new install will need to take control of them. Such as your "My Documents" folders would be owned by a SID that no longer exists. Using your Administrative privilidges take ownership of that directory and propagate your permissions down.
