    Hi All,
Who is going to help me over my latest black home in memory?
Using Vista, and it is so long that I have had to access an internal hard disk from an ftp programme that I have forgotten how. I can not remember the address to use to access my 'C' disk other than the 127.0.0.1 - what comes next?
It's no fun getting old is it! Even so, it's better than the alternative!

Not really sure I understand the question....But

    \\127.0.0.1\Name of the Folder
would be worth trying provided the other pc in question is in the same house.

    Hi Steve,
No other PC is involved. I am trying to build a duplicate of my web site on on my machine so that I can experiment without uploading changes to my server.

I may be wrong, but .......

\\127.0.0.1 is going to take you to your network shares main directory, the same place you would see if you open My Network Places, click Add a network place, then drill down to your machine in the Microsoft Windows Network. Unless the location of the files you want to work with have been given Share attributes, you won't find it using that method.

Why not create a test folder on your server and upload the changes there?

You're probably wanting to have a Web server / service installed on your local machine.
