:)1)I have burned a few cd for my audi on few different occassions.

2)I have never really caught on and have logged many hours with very little success.

3)One of the major problems i have is when I place a blank disc into the cd holder and hit burn Almost always the disc will pop out and there will be a message to insert a blank disc

4)I realize there were a couple of the discs of mine that may have had some previous songs on them which may account for a few of the discs to pop out and to receive an error message, yet there is something wrong as in last night when I placed 12 discs in the cd holder and each one popped out and said to install a blank disc???

5)Is Windows Media Player not the best option for a rookie?

6)I really cant afford to spend 6 or 7 hours trying to record 1 cd to listen to and realize I am doing something wrong.

7 I have windows vista and the dics i use are CD- R which I am assuming are fine since I have recorderd about 3 music discs using these cds. Can someone suggest a better media player for a rookie or explain what I might be doing wrong?

Hi, there is a more simple way of doing it, and that involves using a third party burning program, I personally use Nero but I am not saying it is the best. Nero comes bundled with most Optical drives in its Essentials version. Premium versions are not free. There are many others available but most work in a similar fashion.
Start the burning program select the media that you are using CD or DVD select the function that you require in your case "COPY" insert the original CD click copy and you are on your way the program will tell you when to insert a empty media and continue to burn the CD or DVD. Finish
You can Google for many free burning programs also.
